Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Groundwork ("we," "us") collects, how we use it, and who we share it with when you use the Service at mygroundwork.me.

1. Information we collect

  • Account info: your email and authentication details, workspace name, role, and the company profile you enter (trade, states, non-negotiables, qualifications).
  • Your Content: documents you upload or forward (drawings, contracts, geotechnical reports, bid sheets, daily reports) and the structured data we extract from them.
  • Usage data: actions taken, run metadata, logs, and approximate device/browser info.
  • Payment data: processed by Stripe. We receive billing status and the card brand / last digits; we do not store full card numbers.
  • Communications: support tickets and emails you send us.

2. How we use it

To provide and operate the Service: run analyses, store your results, meter and bill usage, send transactional email (invites, receipts, digests), provide support, secure the Service, and comply with law. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use Your Content to train our own models.

3. AI processing

To produce takeoffs, reviews, and cross-checks, we send Your Content to our AI provider Anthropicfor processing via its API. Per Anthropic's commercial terms, API inputs and outputs are not used to train its models.

4. Subprocessors we share data with

We share data only with providers that help us run the Service:
  • Google Firebase / Google Cloud: authentication, database, file storage, hosting
  • Anthropic: AI document analysis
  • Stripe: payment processing
  • Resend: transactional + inbound email
  • cal.com: onboarding-call scheduling

5. Retention and deletion

We keep Your Content while your workspace is active and as needed for the purposes above. You can request deletion of your workspace and its data by contacting us; we will delete the workspace's records and stored files (subject to limited backup/legal retention).

6. Security

We use industry-standard measures (encrypted transport, access controls, secrets kept out of source). No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To exercise them, contact us at support@mygroundwork.me.

8. International users

We operate in the United States; data is processed in the U.S.

9. Children

The Service is for businesses and is not directed to children under 13 (or 16 where applicable).

10. Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be posted with a new effective date.
